EXPERIENCE:



March 2006-present

Metroplanning/3D plats, Eugene OR

Full time art director. Built and managed a 64 bit linux Maya renderfarm. Created custom software with python, and mel script to control a data pipeline for animation based on real world data from ArcGIS. Worked heavily with Maya, Mental Ray, and Shake in a linux environment creating animation and video composites. Created tools used in a production environment for the automation of day to day jobs.Maintains the computer systems for the office in addition to working as artistic director.


September 2005-February 2006 (Freelance)

Animator/Programmer/Artist For 3D Plats , Eugene OR

Worked with writing custom importers for georeffernced GIS data into maya. Created 3d models of buildings and plat layouts based on autocad drawings from architects, survey data, and other sources.

Full time 2D/3D artist and programmer, created real time virtual reality environments and software in Maya using mel script and tck/tk

SKILLS:


I have a strong background in traditional pencil drawing, painting , illustration work, storyboards and concept sketches. I also have experience in Digital illustration both vector and bitmap.

 

I have a thorough understanding of illustration , 3D graphics and animation; I am currently fluent with Illustrator ,Painter, PhotoShop , Maya ,Lightwave , Houdini, Shake, After effects, 3D studio Max, and Aura/Mirage.I also have experience with autocad and ArcGIS.


I am an expert polygonal modeler in Lightwave, Maya and 3D studio max and have five years professional experience in modeling characters, vehicles, terrain, and buildings in low and high resolution as well as all the UV mapping skills associated with texturing. I understand the difference between just modeling a shape and modeling a patch structure that will deform correctly when animated. I have experience with animating human skeletal and muscular anatomy .
